American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and required Epic EMR proficiency for a night shift hospital assignment.

Details

• Hospital-based Polysomnography/Sleep Lab setting
• Adult and pediatric patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift, 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week assignment
• Epic EMR experience required
• Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted site

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required, with both pediatric and adult patients
• BLS certification required
• Respiratory Care Practitioner License required
• RPSGT or RRT with SDS credential required
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission, if applicable
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in monitoring end-tidal CO2, cardiac abnormalities, ECG, EEG, O2 saturation, and periodic limb movement
• Experience with PSG, RIP, and various study types including MSLT, baseline PSG, home sleep tests, and seizure studies
• Proficient in staging and scoring including arousal, Cheyne-Stokes, complex sleep apnea, hypopnea, and respiratory events
• Experience with titration therapies including ASV, BiPAP, CPAP, VPAP, and oxygen administration
• Skilled in mask fitting including full face, nasal mask, and nasal pillow
• Experience with Alice and ResMed equipment preferred
• Knowledge of infection control and patient education
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting

Additional Information

• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
• Candidates must respond to whether they have previously worked at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, traveler, or per-diem staff, including location and dates if applicable
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel candidate
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate
• First-time travelers may not be considered for this position
