American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist for a hospital CVOR position requiring NBSTSA or NCCT certification and vascular, thoracic, and cardiac surgical experience.

Details

• Hospital CVOR unit with floating to the general OR when not needed in CVOR
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Call coverage required, supporting CVOR call first and general OR call secondary
• Uses Epic charting system
• Scrubs are provided
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty required
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification required
• CST certification preferred
• Experience with general, vascular, thoracic, transplant, and cardiac surgeries required
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Valid state license or certification required at time of consideration, if applicable
• Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers welcome with appropriate experience
• Support CVOR and general OR surgical cases across a wide range of specialties
• Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to isolation precautions, laser safety, and radiation safety protocols
• Perform specimen handling/labeling and participate in universal protocol time-out procedures
• Care for scopes, fiber optic equipment, and other specialized surgical instrumentation
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration and will not be accepted afterward
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate differential
