American Traveler is hiring an Echo/Vascular Technologist with 1+ years of experience in adult transthoracic echocardiography for an inpatient vascular lab.

Details

• Vascular lab setting focused primarily on inpatient care
• 3x12-hour day shifts, variable schedule including weekends and weekdays
• Adult transthoracic echocardiography focus, including contrast agent and bubble echo studies
• Transesophageal echocardiogram and pediatric experience are a plus
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the specialty being applied for
• HS diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac sonography or vascular sonography required
• BLS certification required (AHA, not expiring prior to start)
• Successful completion of one vascular or echo registry (adult, pediatric, or fetal) relevant to the department required
• License required if applicable
• Must be able to safely transport and position patients

Additional Information

• Prioritizes and schedules exams, coordinating with medical staff, physician offices, and patients
• Prepares patients for exams including identification verification and patient/family education
• Performs ultrasound exams per protocol while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality outcomes
• Documents exam results and charges accurately
• Cleans and maintains equipment and work area, coordinating repairs or supply needs as necessary
• Supports quality improvement initiatives and participates in ongoing education
• May provide training or mentorship to other staff, fellows, or students
• Returning employees must be separated from any facility within the health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
