American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of acute care experience and trauma facility exposure.

• Level I Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma teaching hospital with 874 licensed beds
• Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center designation
• Department averages 350-400 patients per day
• Facility includes 40 ORs with 12 C-arms and 2 O-arms, 2 x-ray rooms and 3 fluoro rooms on Main Level, 2 ED rooms, and 15 portable units
• Serves adults and pediatric patients including neonates from ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatient areas across the full spectrum of radiology exams
• Rotates shift-by-shift across ED, OR, and Main areas
• 12hr day shift schedule, Sat-Mon 7am-7:30pm, 36 hours per week
• No weekend/weekday rotation - travelers remain on days and shifts per contract
• No call requirements
• May float to different x-ray areas and for portables within the facility

Requirements

• BLS and ARRT-R required
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
• Trauma level experience required (Level I, II, or III)
• First-time travelers accepted if they have trauma facility experience
• EPIC EMR experience required
• C-arm experience required; O-arm experience preferred
• Skilled in general x-ray imaging of head, neck, spine, extremities, abdomen, hands, feet, and chest
• Comfortable performing bedside portables and working with trauma patients
• OR experience across spinal, ortho, general surgery, neuro, and peds specialties
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Minimum 12 months core work experience in specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within one year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge title
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic imaging across general x-ray, OR, and ED settings for high-acuity adult and pediatric patients
• May be asked to precept x-ray students depending on experience
• Support available includes Lead Tech, 24/7 Supervisor, Manager, on-site Radiologists, Rapid Response/Code Team, and a dedicated department transporter
• Works alongside a team of Rad Techs across all shifts
• Interaction with MD residents and fellows as part of the teaching hospital environment
• Facility orientation includes a tour and departmental introductions, with up to 5 days of departmental orientation
• Will work holidays that fall on a normally scheduled day
• RTO requires manager approval
• Black scrubs required; OR scrubs provided when assigned to that area
• Free teammate parking available across several decks
• Returning employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
