American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnographic Technologist with 2+ years of recent specialty experience and current RPSGT or BRPT certification for a 13-week night shift assignment.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based Sleep Disorders Center performing polysomnographic testing
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• 13-week contract assignment
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in sleep disorder specialty
• At least 1 year of experience in sleep study activity
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Current and unrestricted certification or registration as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) through BRPT required
• License required if applicable
• Demonstrated expertise in sleep disorders, sleep activity, abnormalities, movement arousals, and respirations
• Strong written and oral communication skills required

Additional Information

• Prepare patients and equipment for sleep disorder testing
• Monitor polysomnograms and document findings per facility policy
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Does not accept candidates living within 50 miles of the facility
• Returning staff who previously worked at this facility as permanent employees must have a 2-year break in service before returning as travelers
• RTO must be requested prior to accepting an offer
