American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical/Scrub Technologist with prior OR experience for a critical access hospital in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom.

• Community-focused critical access hospital Perioperative Services department
• Days shift, Monday through Friday, with potential on-call coverage
• 13-week assignment with 40 guaranteed hours
• Travelers start on Wednesdays; orientation week hours may be reduced due to midweek start

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technologist experience
• Previous operating room experience required
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative procedures
• Ability to participate in call coverage and respond within required response times
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Assist surgeons and surgical team during operative procedures, maintaining sterile technique and handling instruments and supplies
• Retract tissue, support patient positioning, and assist with surgical workflow
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies for scheduled procedures
• Support perioperative patient care including transport, positioning, specimen management, and documentation
• Participate in on-call coverage for urgent or emergent procedures
• Work alongside experienced surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff in a collaborative environment
• Located in a rural area with limited public transportation; reliable personal transportation is required
• Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing during the assignment
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
