American Traveler is seeking an EP Lab Cath/EP Technologist with 2+ years of experience in electrophysiology and device implant procedures for a role at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital.

Details

• Electrophysiology Lab setting within a Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Patient population includes those undergoing coronary device implants (pacemakers/ICDs), diagnostic EP studies, and ablation procedures
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Procedures include pacemaker, ICD, subcutaneous ICD, loop recorder, and Micra pacemaker implants, lead extractions with surgical support
• Ablation procedures include VT (including epicardial), PVC, AFib, Aflutter, and other atrial ablations using transseptal approach
• Utilizes Biosense Webster CARTO and Abbott Precision mapping/ablation systems, with Cryo used for select AFib ablations
• Additional equipment includes Biotronik temporary pacemaker box, Siemens X300 ICE machine, laser, Impella, IABP, PA lines (Swan-Ganz), Alaris IV pump, and Hemochron ACT machine
• Monitoring performed via GE CardioLab system
• Charting completed in Epic
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a variable day off
• No weekend requirement and no formal on-call, though optional 'Late Stay' shifts are available to complete ongoing procedures
• May float within the hospital but not to sister facilities

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience scrubbing devices and ablation procedures required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ARRT-R with advanced certification and WA state radiology license, or CCI RCIS certification with WA state Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist license required
• License required if applicable
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in procedural responsibilities including accurate monitoring, room circulating, and maintaining a sterile field while scrubbing
• Experience with electrophysiology studies, arrhythmia induction, baseline measurements, cardiac ablation, cardioversion, conduction studies, and EP evaluation
• Experience with AICD insertion/programming, pacemaker insertion, and LAA closure preferred
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including IABP placement/removal and Impella insertion preferred
• Experience with temporary pacing wires

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include supporting coronary device implants, diagnostic EP studies, and complex ablation procedures
• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• Scrubs are provided in any color
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
• RTO limited to a maximum of 1 week and cannot be requested during orientation week
• Prior staff at this facility must have a minimum 18-month separation before returning as a traveler
