American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist with at least two years of scrub experience for a Level I trauma teaching hospital position covering Ortho, Neuro, Spine, and general cases.

Details

• Hospital OR setting within a Magnet-designated, Level I trauma teaching facility
• Tier 1 caseload including Ortho, Neuro, Spine, and general surgery cases (no cardiac)
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Day/Evening shift, 24 hours/week on 12-hour shifts from 0640-1910
• Schedule requires every Saturday and Sunday, with alternative 3x12 or 4x12 schedules (Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon) considered
• Traveler will work the holiday if it falls on a scheduled weekend day
• No call requirements
• Floating required as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of scrub experience required
• Two years of experience in a Level I trauma or similarly sized facility required
• BLS certification from the AHA required
• CST certification preferred
• Completion of a surgical technologist program required, or two years of Surgical Technologist experience may be considered in lieu of program completion
• License required if applicable
• Experience in a teaching hospital setting preferred
• First-time travelers accepted if they have 2 years of multi-specialty experience in a Level I trauma or similarly sized facility

• Work within a teaching hospital environment recognized as a top-ranked facility in Wisconsin
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• Pass/fail telemetry exam with strict passing criteria required prior to start
