Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center's CVOR unit, requiring open and off-pump CABG experience and skill in valve and ablation procedures.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center CVOR unit with 2 beds
• Day shift team includes 2 FA's, 2 RNs, 2 CSTs, and PRN staff as needed
• Night coverage is call only
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Standard CVOR equipment used
• Meditech EMR used
• Typical procedures include CABG, VATS, ION, valves, ablations, and back-up support for TAVR
• Day shift hours from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required in accordance with facility policy

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent CVOR experience required
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential required
• State license required if applicable
• Experience with on and off pump CABG, valves, and ablations required
• Experience assisting with line placement required
• Experience setting up a Level 1 rapid infuser preferred
• Experience setting up a cell saver preferred
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC accepted
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Assist with a range of open heart and vascular procedures including CABG, VATS, ION, valves, and ablations
• Provide backup surgical support for TAVR procedures
• Flexible team players with open communication style are best suited for this unit
• Surgical staff scrub color is Ciel Blue
• Candidates must live outside a 50 mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
