American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT(T) certification and 2+ years of experience for a hospital-based Radiation Oncology department offering advanced treatment modalities.

Details

• Work in a hospital Radiation Oncology Services department
• Day shift schedule (5x8 hours), with start times flexible between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM
• Performs routine and specialized radiation treatments per physician treatment plans
• Uses Elekta Infinity treatment units
• Vision RT and AlignRT experience preferred
• Mosaiq charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active ARRT(T) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Experience with External Beam Therapy, IMRT, SRS, and Respiratory Gating
• Experience treating Benign Brain Tumors, Heterotopic Bone, and Prostate Cancer with Seeds/Fiducials preferred
• Elekta and Mosaiq experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols

• Deliver safe, accurate, and timely radiation treatments in accordance with physician-developed treatment plans
• Work independently while exercising sound clinical judgment
• Build rapport and cooperation with patients, families, and healthcare team members through effective communication and monitoring
• Adhere to all applicable regulations, codes, and facility policies to ensure patient privacy and safety
• May be responsible for orienting other staff or performing specialized procedures
• Accepts local candidates at the local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Returning staff or travelers must have a minimum 1-year separation before returning to this facility
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
