American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a 13-week Days assignment in a hospital OR setting requiring active Colorado licensure.

• 3x12-hour Day shift schedule
• 13-week assignment
• All age patient populations served

Requirements

• Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist status
• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• Active Colorado Surgical Technologist license required
• License required if applicable
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Working knowledge of AORN standards
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs

Additional Information

• Maintain sterile and aseptic technique while providing instrumentation to the surgical team
• Ensure proper packaging, processing, and sterility of surgical instruments and supplies
• Monitor the sterile field for contamination risks and initiate corrective action as needed
• Participate fully in Time Out processes, including briefings and debriefings
• Assist with patient transport, room turnover, and preparation for surgical cases
• Work towards or maintain competency in Tier 1 surgical cases
• Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization
• Function under the direction of a Registered Nurse
• Maintain currency in new surgical technologies, instrumentation, and equipment
• Must be HIPAA compliant
