American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with 1-2 years OR experience for a hospital operating room position with day shift hours.

Details

• 109-bed hospital with 5 operating rooms averaging 20-22 cases per day
• No trauma designation and not a teaching hospital
• Advanced Primary Stroke Center
• Patient population includes Gen Surg, Orthopedics, OB-Gyn (including c-sections), Endoscopy, Cataracts, and ENT cases
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday 0700-1530
• On-call rotation averaging 1 day per week, with weekend call every 5th-6th weekend
• EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing system used

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of OR surgical technologist experience required
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
• CST certification preferred
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with Gen Surg, Orthopedics, OB-Gyn (including c-sections), Endoscopy, Cataracts, and ENT case types
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
• Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• Support provided by OR transporters, charge nurse, and anesthesia/CRNA team
• On-site phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapy, and hospitalist coverage available 24/7
• Orientation includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) plus 2 days of departmental orientation
• Travelers will work approximately 75% of holidays on call
• RTO subject to manager approval on a 4-week scheduling cycle
• OR scrubs provided

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Former AHSE facility employees must have been separated from a permanent position for at least 1 year before eligibility
