American Traveler seeks an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 5 years of recent high-volume CVOR experience for a hospital surgery unit position.

Details

• Hospital CVOR service line supporting routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures
• Cardiac procedures include coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, aortic dissection, heart transplantation, VAD placement, and may include impella, IABP placement, and adult ECMO
• TAVR procedures performed in the endovascular OR
• Thoracic cases include laparoscopic, robot-assisted, and open procedures
• Vascular procedures range from ESRD graft/fistula placement/revision to endovascular procedures in the endovascular OR
• Service line comprises 4-6 ORs including an endovascular suite, with capacity for four concurrent cardiopulmonary bypass procedures
• May float to other specialty service lines within the OR during downtime
• 13-week assignment with 12-hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 0645-1915

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of recent full-time experience as a CVOR technologist in a high-volume hospital setting
• Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures
• Current CST certification required
• BLS certification from the AHA
• License required if applicable
• Must provide verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment

• Must be able to work independently and adapt quickly without extensive onboarding
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate under facility radius rule
• Candidates with less experience or requiring extensive onboarding will not be considered
