American Traveler is hiring an Electrophysiology Technologist with 1-2 years of specialty experience to support cardiac ablation and device procedures using Affera PFA and Biosense Webster RFA systems.

Details

• Work in the Electrophysiology Lab of a short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level III trauma designation
• Perform EP procedures primarily using Affera PFA systems and Biosense Webster RFA
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Work every 5th weekend
• Short call requirement of 4 hours at the end of a shift, once per week
• May float within scope of practice to meet facility needs, including to an affiliate hospital nearby
• Uses Epic/Excellian charting system
• Open to accommodating a block schedule

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in Electrophysiology required
• Community hospital experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ARRT-R, CCI RCES, CCI RCIS, and Fluoro Permit preferred
• Epic/Excellian charting experience preferred
• Skilled in EKG lead placement, arrhythmia recognition, sterile field maintenance, and room circulating
• Experience with EP studies, baseline measurements, cardiac ablation, conduction studies, and AICD insertion/programming required
• Pacemaker insertion and LAA closure experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• Pending license accepted at time of offer

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include EP studies, cardiac ablation, conduction studies, AICD insertion/programming, pacemaker insertion, and LAA closure procedures
• First-time travelers accepted
• Scrubs provided by the unit
• RTO should ideally be no more than 5 days during the contract
• Returning staff must have a 3-month break from their last shift worked in a perm staff or per diem role
• Local candidates accepted only for radiology positions; all other positions require candidates to live at least 100 miles from the facility
• One supervisor reference required at time of consideration
