American Traveler is hiring a Neurodiagnostic Technologist II with registry eligibility in EEG, EP, IOM, NCV, or Polysomnography for a clinical neurophysiology assignment.

Details

• >clperforming setting Placement>Setting: Clinical Neurophysiology unit at a medical center
• Performs testing in hospital rooms, operating rooms, and clinics
• Flexible schedule including 7PM-7AM, 7AM-7PM, and 3x12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week across 3 days per week
• 0.9 FTE position
• Weekend shifts may be required if needed
• Holiday coverage may be required if needed
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Neurophysiology program required, or High School Diploma with 2+ years of experience performing Sleep or Neurodiagnostic procedures
• Must be registry eligible in one of the following specialty areas: EEG (R. EEG T., CLTM), EP (R. EP T.), Intra-Operative Monitoring (CNIM), Nerve Conduction Velocity studies (NCV), Polysomnography (RPSGT), or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST)
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• License required if applicable
• Must be registered in EEG
• Skilled in polysomnographic and neurodiagnostic test scoring, patient and family instruction, and patient history taking
• Experience with oxygen therapy and CPAP treatments
• Proficient in room and equipment set-up, calibration, and maintenance

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic patient testing including EEG, EMG, NCV, sensory evoked potentials, and polysomnographic testing
• May provide instruction and guidance to other technologists in the Neurodiagnostic and/or Sleep Disorders Lab
• Set up and place equipment in hospital rooms, operating rooms, or clinics
• Calibrate and maintain diagnostic equipment
• Read and score neurodiagnostic and/or polysomnographic tests
• Take patient histories and provide pre-test and follow-up instructions to patients and families
