American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy Technician for a 40-hour, day-shift assignment requiring 1-2 years of GI Tech experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Full-time, 40 hours per week on a 13-week assignment
• Monday through Friday schedule, 7:15am-3:45pm with a rotating shift of 8am-4:30pm
• Department operates 6:30am-5:30pm with rotating shifts required depending on hours
• On-call coverage required for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• 8 procedural rooms including 3 MAC and 5 conscious sedation setups, plus holding and recovery areas
• 18 PACU bays supporting 60-70 procedures per day
• Clinician to patient ratio of 1:1 in procedure rooms and 1:2/3 in PACU
• Treats all patient populations
• No floating required
• Utilizes EPIC EMR for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of GI Technician/Endoscopy experience required
• BLS certification required (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted depending on facility)
• SGNA or CBSPD certification preferred
• Experience with Olympus scope set-up, handling, and reprocessing required
• Active Massachusetts license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted
• License required if applicable
• Flu vaccination required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

• Perform scope set-up, handling, and reprocessing duties within a high-volume endoscopy unit
• Support procedural teams across GI/Endo rooms handling MAC and conscious sedation cases
• Work within a fast-paced unit performing 60-70 procedures daily
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Boston may be considered at a reduced rate
• Facility uses UKG/Kronos for timekeeping
