American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnographic Technologist with at least 1 year of sleep lab experience to perform in-center and home sleep apnea testing.

Details

• Work in a hospital sleep lab setting
• Schedule consists of 4x10 hour rotating night shifts
• Rotating weekend shifts required
• No major holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a sleep lab
• Associate's Degree in Polysomnographic Technology or completion of a certificate program in Polysomnographic Technology required
• RPSGT or RST credential required
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including in-center and home sleep apnea testing (HSAT), diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and patient care
• Deliver sleep-related education and support to patients and families
• Perform PAP interface fitting, desensitization, and patient education
• Score sleep/wake stages and clinical events such as respiratory events, cardiac events, limb movements, and arousals using professionally accepted guidelines
• Perform equipment and physiologic calibrations to ensure quality, artifact-free data
• Follow protocols for Multiple Sleep Latency Testing (MSLT) and Maintenance of Wakefulness Testing (MWT)
• Perform equipment cleaning, disinfection, and infection control per policy
• Generate accurate reports by tabulating sleep/wake and clinical event data
• Provide age-specific care for all patient populations seen in the sleep lab
• Support quality and performance improvement initiatives
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates not accepted
