American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a 13-week critical access hospital assignment requiring GE machine experience and Epic charting proficiency.

Details

• Critical access hospital setting with 23 total staffed beds
• MRI Tech unit supporting adult acute care and outpatient populations
• Performs abdomen, pelvis, chest, breast, head, neck, brain, and spine (cervical, lumbar, thoracic) imaging
• Utilizes GE, Philips, Siemens, and Toshiba MRI equipment along with PACS
• Special imaging procedures include diffusion imaging, gradient echo imaging, perfusion, and image post-processing (ADC mapping, subtraction, multiplanar reconstruction)
• Block schedule required Wednesday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, 4x10-hour day shifts
• Approximate patient ratio of 1:1
• No floating between units, no on-call requirements, and no weekend requirements outside the block schedule
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience
• Current BLS certification required
• GE MRI machine experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with adult acute care and outpatient imaging
• Must be comfortable performing special imaging procedures including diffusion, perfusion, and post-processing techniques
• Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
• License required if applicable
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this block-scheduled position
• Candidates may be required to float to nearby sister facilities within the health system
• Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
• Scrubs are provided for OR and L&D; any color scrub accepted for other departments including outpatient
• No parking fees at this facility
• Candidates must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process; requests made after offer may not be granted
• Up to 6 total days or 3 consecutive days of RTO may be auto-approved, with additional time subject to client approval
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate, though local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate
