American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of cardiac cath lab experience and RCIS certification to support cardiac and peripheral invasive procedures.

Details

• Acute care cardiac cath lab setting with 2 procedure beds/labs
• Average of 8 cases per day
• Cases include all cardiac invasive procedures (excluding structural heart) as well as peripheral procedures such as carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, and peripheral diagnostics/interventions
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Monday-Friday day shift, 0700-1730, plus required call
• Call requirement averages 12 days per month, including at least one weekend (Friday 1730 to Monday 0700), with a 30-minute response time
• Holiday coverage is required via rotating, assigned call
• No floating required
• Facility has Charge Nurse coverage, dedicated Cath Lab/IR Techs, IV Team, 24/7 RT, and 24/7 Pharmacy support

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience required
• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Must have scrub experience for PCI/STEMI cases
• Must be able to scrub both cardiac and peripheral cases
• Radiology license not required
• License required if applicable
• Active state or compact (NLC) license required for the state of submission; pending licenses not accepted
• Copy of driver's license required to validate legal name for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing in for cardiac invasive procedures and peripheral vascular diagnostic and interventional cases
• Floor-specific orientation generally consists of 1-2 shifts depending on skill level, in addition to 12 hours of general orientation
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity Health, within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside staffing firms will still be considered
