American Traveler is hiring a dual-modality CT Tech / X-Ray Tech for an evening-shift contract position requiring at least 1 year of recent experience in both CT and radiography, with stroke/trauma experience required.

Details

• Hospital-based CT and X-Ray setting, with one shift per week at a free-standing ED (FSED)
• Dual-modality role requiring the ability to operate as both a CT Tech and X-Ray Tech
• Patient population spans all ages from neonate to older adult in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Procedures include Abdomen/GI/Pelvis, Chest/Thorax, Head/Neck, Upper/Lower Extremity, Spine/Musculoskeletal, Portables, CTA, CCTA (preferred), Brain Perfusion, and Multiplanar Reconstruction (preferred)
• Preparation and administration of contrast media and starting peripheral IVs are required skills
• EMR is Epic (experience required); CT scanner is Siemens GoTop
• Schedule is 5x8-hour evening shifts: Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri 3:00 PM–10:30 PM at the hospital, Wed 7:00 PM–7:00 AM at the FSED
• On-call is included as part of the assignment
• Hurricane sign-up is required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience each in Radiology (X-Ray) and CT, totaling 2 years of combined dual-modality experience
• Stroke and trauma experience required
• Proficiency in Abdomen/Pelvis, Chest, Head/Neck, Spine/Musculoskeletal, Portables, CTA, contrast media preparation/administration, starting peripheral IVs, and isolation precautions
• PACS experience required; Multiplanar Reconstruction and CCTA experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Active FL CRT and ARRT certifications required
• Active BLS certification via AHA or ARC required
• Active Florida or compact license required for consideration — license required if applicable
• Must successfully complete a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks, abuse registry review, and screening for disqualifying offenses

Additional Information

• Performs CT and X-Ray imaging across a dual-modality scope in both a hospital and free-standing ED environment
• Additional responsibilities may include 12-lead EKGs (on-site training provided) and patient support tasks within clinical scope
• Facility is smoke-free
• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted, though a lower pay rate applies beyond that radius
• Former permanent employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Pre-start orientation modules are required and completed independently prior to the start date
