American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a Level I Trauma emergency department setting requiring at least 1 year of CT experience and ARRT/BLS certification.

Details

• 13-week travel assignment in a Level I Trauma, Stroke Accredited hospital
• Works within Adult Acute Care, Emergency Department, ICU, and Operating Room settings
• Performs CT scans of the abdomen, pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
• Performs specialized procedures including brain perfusion and vascular CTA studies
• Uses Siemens CT equipment and PACS system
• Charts in Epic
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Works every third weekend
• Participates in on-call rotation approximately once every 6 weeks

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT-R and BLS certifications required; ARRT-CT certification preferred
• License required if applicable
• Community hospital experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Siemens and Epic experience required
• Experience preparing and/or administering contrast media
• Experience starting peripheral IVs
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure

• Serves a diverse adult patient population
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; a Charge RN may serve as the second reference; coworker references are not accepted
• Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment after being away from the facility for 6 months or more
• Current employees at any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible for travel assignments
• Requested time off must be submitted with the application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing the contract due to strict credentialing timelines
