American Traveler is seeking a CVOR Surgical Tech with at least 2 years of current experience and travel experience for a community hospital CVOR position requiring NBSTSA and BLS-AHA certifications.

Details

• Community hospital CVOR setting
• Cardiovascular patient population including open heart, thoracic, and vascular cases
• Case types include CABG, mitral valve replacement, thoracic surgery, laparoscopic-assisted cases, lung resection/thoracotomy, and VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery)
• Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
• On-call required 1–2 nights per week and every other weekend, with PRN holiday call
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
• Floating may be required in accordance with facility policy and clinical experience, following Joint Commission standards

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of current CVOR surgical tech experience required
• Travel experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• NBSTSA certification required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• TN or compact licensure and all required certifications must be active and in hand at time of consideration; license required if applicable
• Certifications and licensure must not expire within 45 days of the assignment start date
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

Additional Information

• Candidates who were previously permanent staff at this campus are not eligible to return within 24 months; those who worked at another Covenant Health campus may return after 12 months
• RTO cannot occur within the first 14 days of the assignment start date and cannot exceed 7 days total
• Holiday RTO will not be accommodated during major holidays or surrounding days; travelers may discuss any holiday RTO requests with the manager after arriving onsite
• Orientation is conducted bi-weekly and includes non-billable module completion through Covenant Health's internal system
• Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
