American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with at least two years of experience across multiple surgical specialties for a hospital surgical services position.

Details

• Work in a hospital Surgical Services unit supporting a wide range of specialties
• Cases include hysterectomy, gynecologic, total joints, general surgery, bariatric, Davinci Robot, ENT, thoracics, neuro spine, and plastics
• Patient population ranges from neonate through geriatric
• Day shift hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• 4 days per week at 10 hours per day, totaling 40 hours weekly
• On-call requirement of up to 40 hours on a 6-week rotating schedule

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience
• High School Diploma or GED required
• BLS certification required
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with hysterectomy, gyn, total joints, general, bariatric, Davinci Robot, ENT, thoracics, neuro spine, and plastics procedures required
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, metric system, and aseptic technique

Additional Information

• Assist the surgical team in delivering patient care during the intra-operative period
• Prepare, handle, and maintain surgical instrumentation and equipment
• Perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts according to policy and procedure
• Adapt care and equipment use based on patient age, from neonate through geriatric
• Demonstrate strong prioritization, planning, and problem-solving skills in a fast-changing surgical environment
• Respond effectively and immediately during urgent or emergency situations
• Adhere to professional standards of practice and aseptic technique at all times
