American Traveler is seeking a registered Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Santa Fe, NM, requiring at least 1 year of ultrasound scanning experience and ARRT or ARDMS certification.

Details

• Imaging Ultrasound department at a regional medical center in Santa Fe, NM
• Performs a wide variety of routine and advanced ultrasound imaging procedures
• 4x10-hour day shifts, 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required; shift runs Friday through Monday
• On-call requirement applies to this position
• Floating to other campuses or shifts may be required
• PACS system used for image storage and archiving

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of ultrasound scanning experience
• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program or equivalent
• BLS required
• One of the following certifications required: Sonography (S) by ARRT, Abdomen (AB) RDMS by ARDMS, or OB/GYN RDMS by ARDMS
• One or more of the following certifications preferred in addition to the required: Vascular Sonography (VS) by ARRT, Breast Sonography (BS) by ARRT, Breast (BR) RDMS by ARDMS, Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS by ARDMS, or RVT by ARDMS
• DMS by MIRTP NMED required
• NM state license required if applicable
• Basic computer proficiency required
• Two references required for consideration
• US Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs ultrasound exams and provides support to other imaging technologists to facilitate efficient patient flow
• Responsible for PACS image storage, downtime procedures, and escalating system issues as a PACS Superuser
• Troubleshoots and reports equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel
• Expected to participate in ongoing education, QA, and technical advances within scope of licensure
• Candidates who have previously worked at any CHRISTUS Health facility in a non-travel capacity must have a 6-month separation before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a radius rule; local candidates are not accepted unless the position explicitly states otherwise
• Copies of all certifications must be current and unexpired to be considered
