American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a weekend night shift position in a CT Scan department, supporting a full-service radiology department in Charlotte, NC.

• CT Scan department within a 373-licensed-bed acute care hospital offering X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine
• Patient population includes ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient settings
• Department averages approximately 160 studies per weekday and 120 studies on weekends
• CT-guided invasive procedures and cases with anesthesia are performed as needed
• Cardiac CT imaging is performed on day shift, 7 days per week
• Department is equipped with 3 Siemens CT scanners (Definition AS 40, Force, and Edge+) and Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors
• EMR is Epic (Epic Radiant for RIS); PACS is Philips iSite
• 12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, 9:00 PM – 9:30 AM (36 hours/week)
• On-call required approximately 2–3 shifts per month
• No floating required
• Weekend-only position; travelers are expected to cover 75% of holidays

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, with most recent experience within the last year
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT
• Current BLS certification
• Active state license required, if applicable
• Proficiency in venous and arterial phase scanning, multi-phase scanning, stroke imaging (including perfusion), and colorectal studies
• Ability to start peripheral IVs
• Experience with Epic EMR
• 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• TeraRecon experience is preferred but not required
• Hospital holds TJC Stroke accreditation; no trauma designation
• Orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review) and 2 days to 1 week of departmental orientation, including weekdays as needed
• Guest Services/Transport staff support patient movement for inpatient and observation patients
• Black scrubs required
• Free parking is available in surface lots and parking decks
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Former employees who worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
• A manager interview is required as part of the selection process
