American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a pediatric hospital setting, requiring 3+ years of radiologic technology experience and ARRT RT(R) certification.

Details

• Pediatric hospital interventional radiology unit
• Work settings include the IR suite, IR procedures in the OR, and interventional cardiac cath lab
• Day shift, 5x8 hours from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Weeknight call coverage from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM every third week, and 24-hour coverage every third weekend

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of progressive radiologic technology experience required; 5 years preferred
• Pediatric experience required
• Associate's degree from an accredited institution required
• Required certifications: BLS, ARRT RT(R), and ODH Radiologic License
• Preferred certifications: ACLS and ARRT Vascular Interventional (VI)
• Proficiency with EMR, Radiology Information Systems, and advanced IR computer applications
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy and radiation safety
• Ohio or Compact license required if applicable
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
• First-time travelers will be considered

Additional Information

• Independently performs interventional procedures utilizing proper techniques and safe administration of contrast media
• Responsibilities include medication administration within licensed scope, equipment operation, venipuncture, and coordination of patient flow
• Exercises professional judgment to maintain equipment in optimal condition
• Hospital-issued OR scrubs required
• Local candidates are accepted
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 6 months before being considered for this position; former travelers must wait at least 1 year before returning
