American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of acute care experience, ARDMS certification, and the ability to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.

Details

• Acute care hospital radiology/ultrasound department serving inpatient and outpatient populations
• Work settings include the Emergency Department and NICU
• Patient population includes adults and neonates
• Procedures include general ultrasound exams across trauma/ER, stroke, and vascular applications
• 5x8-hour variable day shifts with start times ranging from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• Weekend and holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care, procedures, emergency care, basic vascular, NICU/neonatal, and labor and delivery
• ARDMS certification with at least one specialty required
• SPI and BLS certifications required
• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Performs ultrasound exams and procedures in accordance with established standards and protocols
• Orientation includes module completion averaging 3–6 hours depending on specialty
• Local candidates are accepted
• Previous facility employees must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All time off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
• DOB, references, and COVID vaccination status required for consideration
• Strict facility dress code is enforced: no facial hair, no acrylic nails, no unnatural hair colors, all tattoos must be covered, no visible body piercings other than stud earrings, and no hoop or dangling earrings
• Scrubs with closed-toe shoes required
