American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist with 2+ years of Vascular/CVOR experience for a hospital CVOR position featuring Hybrid OR and endovascular procedures.

Details

• Vascular OR service line within a hospital CVOR unit utilizing a Hybrid OR setup
• Adult to geriatric patient population
• Cases include EVAR, TEVAR, and other complex vascular and cardiovascular procedures
• Uses Epic (preferred) and Pyxis systems
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• Every other weekend rotation required
• May float to Main OR on rare occasions
• On-call rotation of 7 days on, 7 days off

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Vascular OR experience required
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA certification preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Experience with CSI and Penumbra equipment preferred
• Skilled in vascular procedures including AAA repair, aortobifemoral bypass, carotid endarterectomy, and EVAR
• Skilled in cardiovascular procedures including CABG, mitral valve replacement, and TAVR preferred
• Proficient in aseptic technique, radiation safety, and universal protocol/time out procedures
• Professional license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Provide surgical technologist support for complex vascular and cardiovascular procedures in a hybrid OR environment
• Maintain sterile fields and assist with instrumentation for high-acuity vascular cases
• Facility provides OR scrubs
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with holiday blackout restrictions during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• Coverage of major holidays required based on how many fall within the assignment period
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Full compliance required prior to start; delays may result in a two-week push back due to biweekly orientation scheduling
• Candidates who previously worked at this healthcare system as staff, per diem, or float pool must have been away for at least one full year to qualify as a traveler
• Returning travelers who were previously unable to return to a facility must complete one successful assignment elsewhere before reapplying
