American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 1+ year of experience for an acute care hospital assignment requiring ARDMS or CCI certification.

Details

• Acute hospital setting at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma facility
• 4x10 hour day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-7:00 PM
• Scheduled days may vary week to week and same day off cannot be guaranteed
• On-call responsibilities approximately 1 day per week, with a 30-minute response time to the facility
• No weekend requirement
• Charting completed in Epic
• Candidates will float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Performs Adult Echo, 2-D and 3-D Echo, Bubble Study, Color Doppler, Imaging with Contrast Agents, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, TEE, and Treadmill Stress Echo
• Utilizes GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, SonoSite, Toshiba equipment and PACS system
• Performs calculations including Simpson's Rule, Diastology, LV Strain/LV Volume, and Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• BLS certification required
• ARDMS or CCI certification required (not both)
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with Isolation Precautions/PPE and procedures on patients in ICU/ED settings
• Experience in Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, Emergency Department, and ICU settings
• License required if applicable
• 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Copy of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Travelers must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
• Facility only accepts Hepatitis B vaccination proof, not titers or declinations
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Travelers may work a maximum of 1 calendar year in an assignment before requiring a 6-month break to return to the same facility
• Time off requests are approved on an individual basis at the time of offer
