American Traveler is hiring an Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist (RCIS) with active RCIS certification and Cath Lab experience for a 12-week contract in a hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab setting
• Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, with call requirements to be discussed with the manager during the interview
• May be asked to float to cover Cath/EP and, on a rare basis, TEE/CVs — TEE/CV coverage is intra-procedure only and involves documenting timeout, procedure tracking, and circulating the room
• Scrubbing is required
• Charting is performed in Cerner
• 40 hours per week, 5 days per week

Requirements

• Active Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) registration with the SC Board of Medical Examiners
• Active RCIS certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
• Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications — must be AHA-issued
• Radiologic Technologists (RTs) must also hold active ARRT registration
• Active SC or compact state license required, if applicable
• Minimum experience sufficient to obtain all required licensure and certifications
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessments, develops and implements plans of care, evaluates treatment effectiveness, and coordinates care across the interdisciplinary team
• Participates in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and acts as a patient safety advocate
• Travelers who have previously been on assignment at this facility may return after a mandatory 30–60 day break, provided their total time on assignment does not exceed one calendar year from the initial start date
