American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with Level 1 Trauma OR experience and strong neuro/ortho spine and craniotomy skills for a hospital Neuro OR position.

Details

• Hospital Neuro OR setting with 29 operating rooms handling 45–60 cases per day
• Patient population includes neuro and ortho spine cases ranging from simple 1-level procedures to complex 10+ level surgeries, spine tumors, neuro trauma, and DBS procedures
• Craniotomy experience is essential for this Neuro OR team
• Swing shift schedule: 2x8-hour shifts (11a–7:30p) and 2x12-hour shifts (11a–11:30p) per week, totaling 40 hours per week
• Weekday on-call consists of two 8-hour call shifts per schedule (11:30p–7a); weekend on-call consists of three 12-hour call shifts (7a–7:30p or 7p–7:30a)
• 45-minute response time required for on-call
• Floating to other service lines within the Main OR is required as needed
• Epic EMR is used at this facility
• Scrubs are provided

Requirements

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• VA state registration required for consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma OR required
• Strong neuro/ortho spine experience required, including complex multi-level spine, craniotomy, spine tumors, neuro trauma, and DBS procedures
• Two professional references required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• This is a 13-week travel contract
• The Neuro OR team works across a high-volume OR with a broad range of neurological and spinal surgical cases
• Candidates must be prepared to cover on-call shifts on both weekdays and weekends
• Holiday coverage expectations include both major and minor holidays
