American Traveler is hiring a travel Ultrasound Technologist (Inpatient) with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and active RDMS, RVT, RDCS, RCS, or RVS registry certification.

Details

• Inpatient hospital setting performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures across cardiac, vascular, and general imaging modalities
• Patient population ranges from infant, child, adolescent, adult, to geriatric
• Experience in OB/GYN, small parts, cardiovascular, and pediatric ultrasound is highly preferred
• Procedures include invasive techniques such as contrast-enhanced cardiac ultrasound, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsy exams, line placement assistance, and thrombin injection exams
• 3x12 hour shifts, Sunday–Monday with varied daytime hours; schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
• Call requirements to be discussed during the interview
• Floating to other departments may be required up to competency level
• One additional shift pick-up required per schedule period
• Epic used for charting; training provided during orientation or candidates may test out
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in ultrasound sonography
• Active registry with either Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS or RVS) or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS, RVT, or RDCS)
• AHA BLS required
• License required if applicable
• SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures specializing in two or more areas including cardiac, vascular, and general ultrasound
• Review images for identification, technique, and completeness according to the governing body of the respective modality (ASE/ICAEL for cardiac, SDMS/ACR for general, SVU/ICAVL for vascular)
• May mentor ultrasound students from a CAAHEP-accredited program, including teaching departmental protocols, equipment operation, and proper documentation
• Participate in accreditation and re-accreditation processes for each respective modality
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must take a 13-week break after their contract ends before returning, regardless of the number of extensions
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• A minimum of 2 major holidays will be required
• Blocked scheduling is not allowed
• RTO must be submitted with your profile; time is not added to the end of the contract to compensate for approved time off
