American Traveler is hiring a Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist for a 4-week night shift contract in a hospital sleep lab, requiring a minimum of 2 years of PSG experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Located in a hospital-based sleep lab setting
• Patient-to-tech ratios of 1:1 and 2:1
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every weekend is required; schedule runs Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling
• No float requirement
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of PSG technologist experience required; 3–5 years highly preferred
• Epic EMR experience from within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable
• Associate's degree (preferably in a science field) or completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sleep Technology Program required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Proficiency in sleep study scoring, data acquisition, troubleshooting, mask fittings, bedside manner, and patient education
• Prior travel or teaching hospital experience preferred but not required
• Two professional references required — at least one from a supervisor or nurse manager within the past 6 months, and one from within the past year of employment
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Candidates applying from New York must include proof of a pending NY license
• Public transportation is not accessible in this area; a personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended
• Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through April
• Travel pay eligibility is tiered based on distance from the facility: standard travel rate applies for candidates living 101+ miles away; a radius rate applies for those living 51–100 miles away; local candidates are also accepted
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained in the work history
