American Traveler is hiring an EP Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of EP experience for a 13-week travel contract in a hospital-based Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory in Charlotte, NC.

• Hospital-based Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at a 337-bed, non-trauma designated facility with a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center
• 1 EP Lab currently in operation, expanding to 2 labs by end of 2026
• Adult patient population only
• Average of 4–5 EP cases per day
• EP procedures include Electrophysiology Studies (EPS), Catheter Ablations (PFA, Radiofrequency Ablations, Cryoablations), Generator Changes, Cardioversions, Pacemaker/Defibrillator Implants, Bi-V Implants, and Leadless Devices (Micra and Aveir)
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• Hemodynamic monitoring system: Merge; Mapping system: Cardiolab
• Additional equipment includes Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing
• 4x9 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, 36 hours per week
• No floating, no on-call, no weekend rotation; facility is closed on holidays

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of EP Tech experience
• BLS and ACLS required
• ARRT-R, RCIS, or RCES certification required
• License required if applicable
• Proficiency in scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating EP cases, including the ability to scrub and pan simultaneously
• Experience with EP case types listed above, including catheter ablations and implantable devices
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Technologists will scrub and pan simultaneously during EP cases
• 4-person teams are assigned to each case; vendor reps assist with certain cases and provide equipment
• Department support includes a Charge RN, a Supervisor 4 days/week, a dedicated case scheduler, and Rapid Response/Code Team, RRT, and Hospitalist coverage 24/7
• Orientation includes facility NEO followed by unit-specific orientation for the remainder of the first week
• Scrubs are provided; parking is free

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
