American Traveler is seeking a Cardiovascular OR Surgical Tech with a minimum of 2 years of experience for an acute care hospital CVOR position in Washington State requiring an active WA state license.

Details

• Acute care hospital cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) setting with 4 dedicated CVOR suites
• 22–45 cases per day across all specialties, including standard cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and robotic-assisted procedures
• Da Vinci XI robotic system utilized for cardiac and vascular cases; robotics experience preferred but not required, with willingness to train
• Cath lab and CVOR are in close proximity; CVOR tech may be on standby for vascular cases that convert to open
• Charting performed in Epic
• Schedule options include 4x10s (0630–1700) or 5x8s (0715–1500); varied start times with block scheduling available
• Weekday, weekend, and possible holiday call coverage required
• CSTs are expected to cover 8–9 call shifts per month; call hours run 9:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with weekend call structured as 12-hour days, 12-hour nights, and 24-hour backup
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• Holidays covered by rotation
• CVOR techs may float to the Main OR

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR surgical tech experience required
• Active Washington State surgical tech license required (license required if applicable)
• Active BLS certification required; pending certifications not accepted
• National certification not required
• Epic EMR experience
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Active state license verification required; pending licenses not accepted
• COVID vaccine required

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Orientation is approximately 1 week
• A charge nurse covers every shift across both Main OR and CVOR, with a dedicated resource nurse for CVOR
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates placed PRN through outside firms will be considered
• Housing in the area can be difficult to find; advance planning is recommended
