Description

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with broad multi-specialty OR experience for a 13-week Surgical Services assignment requiring rotating call and flexibility across a wide range of surgical service lines.

Details

• Hospital-based Main OR setting within a busy perioperative environment
• Primary specialty assignment is Spine, with flexibility required to scrub across multiple service lines including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Robotics, Gynecology, Urology, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Ophthalmology, and Podiatry
• Cardiovascular (CVOR) scrub experience is not required, as travelers will not be assigned to CVOR cases
• Schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, 6:45 AM – 5:15 PM
• Rotating call is required, including holiday call
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CST experience
• Proficiency scrubbing a broad range of surgical specialties
• NBSTSA CST certification required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• License required if applicable
• Valid US Social Security Number and US home address required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration

• Provide scrub support across multiple OR service lines, with a primary focus on Spine cases
• Responsibilities include maintaining sterile technique, anticipating surgeon needs, preparing and organizing instrumentation, and collaborating with the perioperative team
• Supports safe, efficient patient care in a fast-paced OR environment
• Local candidates are accepted; however, a radius rule applies and may affect the pay rate — the applicable radius distance varies by state
