Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Surgical/OR Tech with current pediatric OR experience for a 13-week hospital assignment in a high-acuity pediatric surgical setting.

Details

• Work in a large academic hospital's pediatric ORs handling a full range of surgical services including cardiac, general, neuro, ortho, plastics, GYN, ENT, ophthalmology, and trauma
• Day shift schedule working four 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) with no set weekly schedule
• 40 hours per week
• On-call required per unit, averaging 4–6 calls per 6-week schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• EMR system is Epic (Scrub role)

Requirements

• Minimum of 4–5 years of surgical tech experience required
• Current pediatric OR experience required
• Experience in a facility with 500+ beds required
• Completion of an accredited surgical tech program required; certification is not required
• BLS certification required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• 1 professional reference required for consideration
• Active licensure required if applicable

Additional Information

• Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month; candidates must clear all pre-employment requirements by 5:00 PM the Thursday prior to the orientation date
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
