American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and Level I Trauma Center experience for a 13-week travel assignment.

Details

• Level I Trauma Center setting within the CT department
• Adult acute care, adult outpatient, emergency department, and ICU patient populations
• Performs CT imaging including abdomen/pelvis, chest, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and vascular studies
• Uses Siemens CT equipment and PACS system
• Epic EMR experience required
• 4x10 hour day shifts, Wednesday through Saturday, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• No call requirements
• Must be willing to float within clinical scope of practice as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certification required
• BLS certification required
• VA state license required (license required if applicable; pending licenses accepted but must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• BSN preferred
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture
• Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

• Perform CT imaging studies including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and region of interest measurements
• Conduct specialized procedures such as CTA studies, brain perfusion, biopsies, and coronary CT imaging
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and LTAC experience preferred
• Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Pediatric acute care and outpatient experience preferred
• Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved per 13-week contract, and must be disclosed at time of consideration
• Any vacation time planned between offer acceptance and start date must be disclosed to ensure an appropriate start date
• Candidates living within a 50-mile radius of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Previous UVA Health employees must have a 1-year separation and leadership approval before returning as a traveler
• External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
