Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with orthopedic and spine experience for a 13-week travel contract at a short-term acute care hospital in Oregon.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 109 total staff beds
• Assigned to the OR with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• On-call is required at 100 hours per 4-week schedule period, with weekend on-call expected
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment
• Epic EMR is used in this facility
• OR scrubs are provided

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical technology experience required
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
• Experience in orthopedic surgery including total joints, sports medicine, and trauma required
• Spine surgery experience required
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Active professional license required if applicable
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting are required for consideration
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Former permanent employees of this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility, including travel, registry, or permanent employment, along with locations and dates
• Minimal RTO is preferred for this position
• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position — 4 years of travel experience is required
