American Traveler is seeking a Mammography Technologist (Mammographer/DEXA Technologist) with ARRT registration and at least 1 year of mammography experience to join a radiology team in a small community hospital setting.

Details

• Radiology department in a small community hospital setting
• Performs diagnostic mammography and DEXA imaging
• Day shift schedule
• 13-week contract with 36 hours per week

Requirements

• ARRT registration required
• Mammography license or certification required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of mammography experience
• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field preferred
• Proficiency with EMR systems required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow radiation safety protocols precisely
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include operating and maintaining mammography equipment, positioning and compressing patients for optimal image acquisition, and evaluating images for quality
• Duties also include maintaining detailed patient records and educating patients on the importance of regular breast health screenings
• May assist physicians during diagnostic procedures
• Must be comfortable working as part of a small, collaborative team
• Willingness to adjust schedule to accommodate team time-off requests is expected
• Pre-employment drug test and background check required
