American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist with orthopedic and DaVinci Robot experience for a 13-week OR assignment in Colorado.

Details

• Hospital operating room setting located at high altitude (approximately 8,000 feet elevation)
• Schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week, Wednesday through Friday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of OR experience required
• Orthopedic surgical experience required
• DaVinci Robot experience required
• Unrestricted license to practice as a Surgical Technologist in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required (may be obtained upon hire)
• 2 years of recent OR experience preferred
• NCCT TS-C or NBSTSA CST certification preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• Must be physically able to safely function in a high-altitude, low-oxygen environment (approximately 8,000 feet elevation)

Additional Information

• Maintain sterile field and instrumentation throughout all surgical procedures
• Prepare the OR and supplies for each surgical case in an efficient and organized manner
• Communicate and collaborate with all Perioperative team members to uphold AORN standards of care during the intraoperative period
• Stock and order departmental supplies as needed, and provide additional supportive patient care as directed
• No RTO (time off) requests will be accepted for this assignment
• Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing — costs in the area are notably high, with 1-bedroom apartments in nearby towns such as Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs averaging approximately $3,500/month
