American Traveler is seeking a travel MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification for a 13-week outpatient assignment requiring proficiency in general, cardiac, and specialty MRI exams on Siemens equipment.

Details

• Outpatient clinic setting within an MRI department
• Specialty MRI exams performed include general MRI, implants, elastography, defecography, breast, and cardiac MRI
• Primary schedule is 5x8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday (12:30 PM–9:00 PM); 4x10 or 3x12 shift configurations may also be considered
• Saturday shifts (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) are required on a rotating basis; total weekly hours remain at 40 regardless of Saturday work
• No on-call requirement
• May float between two outpatient clinic locations
• Uses Siemens MRI equipment; Sectra PACS experience is preferred
• Charting in Epic; Epic experience is preferred
• No holidays required

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
• Current BLS (AHA) required
• ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Radiation badge required and must be provided by the candidate's agency prior to assignment
• Proficiency in general MRI exams, implants, elastography, defecography, breast MRI, and cardiac MRI
• Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations in accordance with established protocols across a variety of patient populations for physician interpretation
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff or PRN at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, though local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is subject to the manager's and unit's needs
• Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the assignment begins
• Scrub colors are teal top and black pants
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
