American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with Labor & Delivery experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a Level 3 trauma center in Washington state.

Details

• Work in a Labor & Delivery unit within a 388-bed Level 3 trauma center featuring 12 L&D beds, 3 ORs, and 2 OB ER rooms
• Patient population includes high and low risk antepartum, intrapartum, C-sections, emergent D&Cs, post-delivery tubal ligations, and unplanned hysterectomies
• Unit delivers approximately 150–175 babies per month
• Charting is performed in Epic
• 12-hour night shifts, 1900–0730
• 36 hours per week with every other weekend rotation
• No floating or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of surgical tech experience
• Experience with L&D case types including C-sections, emergent D&Cs, tubal ligations, and unplanned hysterectomies required
• CST certification required
• BLS certification required
• Washington state surgical tech license required if applicable; may submit with proof of pending application dated 6+ weeks prior
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Assist with vaginal deliveries, including setting up and breaking down delivery tables and processing equipment
• Help stock rooms and maintain supply inventory
• Dark blue scrubs required and are provided by the facility
• At least one reference from a supervisor or above (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, etc.) required for consideration; a second reference will be needed prior to start
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
