American Traveler seeks a Radiation Oncology Physicist with ABR certification, FL state license, and proton therapy experience for a short-term acute care hospital assignment covering a leave of absence.

Details

• Work in a Radiation Oncology department at a 615-bed short-term acute care hospital designated as a Level II Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma center
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Uses Cerner for electronic medical records
• Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• No weekend, on-call, or float requirements
• Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

• ABR (American Board of Radiology) certification required
• Active Florida state Radiation Therapy/Medical Physics license required if applicable
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required; 3 years preferred
• Proton therapy experience required; experience with the Mevion proton accelerator strongly preferred
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must be able to work independently without leadership support while also functioning effectively as part of a team
• Pending licensure is not accepted
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Position is a short-term contract of 4–8 weeks covering a physicist's PTO, with the possibility of extending up to 10 weeks
• Must be fully independent in clinical physics duties, as no leadership coverage will be available
• No RTO (time off requests) will be accommodated during this contract due to the coverage nature of the assignment
• Black scrubs or business casual attire acceptable
