American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week travel contract in a hospital Operating Room setting, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and broad surgical service line knowledge.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting in Asheville, NC
• Broad surgical case mix including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma cases
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Cerner EMR in use
• 12-hour shifts, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM, on a variable schedule
• Call required as part of the schedule
• May be required to float to other departments

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CST, with active experience in the role within the last 6 months
• CST certification required; state license required if applicable
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required (must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Experience across multiple surgical service lines including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted

Additional Information

• This is a Level II trauma center serving as the region's referral center, also housing a comprehensive stroke center and Level III NICU
• The facility operates the busiest robotic surgery program in the Carolinas and is the only provider of open heart and interventional cardiology in the region
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but recent active experience in the specialty is required
