American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with 2+ years of experience in breast imaging for a 13-week acute care assignment in the Bronx, NY.

Details

• Acute care hospital mammography department with 3 dedicated mammography rooms
• Procedures include screening mammography, diagnostic mammography, and 3-D tomosynthesis
• Average of 50–75 studies per day across three rooms
• GE Pristina mammography equipment used
• Charting performed in Allscripts EMR
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts with a 1-hour lunch break
• May be required to float to the main hospital and an ambulatory center
• No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements at this time, though weekend coverage may be needed in the future

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of breast imaging experience required
• Current BLS (AHA) and ARRT (M) - Certified Mammography Technologist credentials required
• License required if applicable
• Proficiency with screening and diagnostic mammography and 3-D tomosynthesis
• Experience with GE Pristina equipment preferred

Additional Information

• A lead technologist is present on each shift for supervision and support
• An in-house radiologist is available on-site
• IV placement is not required for this role
• Caribbean blue scrubs required; scrubs are not provided by the facility
