American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for a weekend-only position requiring current MA Radiology and Mammography licensure, ARRT certification, and experience performing screening and diagnostic mammograms.

Details

• Work is performed at a hospital-based mammography imaging unit and various offsite locations within a 10-mile radius
• Candidate must be available to cover shifts at offsite locations between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM
• Weekend-only schedule: Saturday and Sunday shifts ranging from 8, 10, or 12 hours totaling 36–40 hours per week depending on department needs
• Shifts vary week to week based on department needs; flexibility is required
• Tech-to-machine ratio is 1:1
• Charting is done in Epic
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts Radiology and Mammography License required (license required if applicable); MA Conditional Licenses are not accepted
• Current ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required — AHA only; Red Cross not accepted at this location
• Digital mammography training with 8 hours of documentation required
• Tomosynthesis training with 8 hours of documentation required
• Documentation of 15 hours of CEUs within the past 3 years required
• Documentation of mammography statistics from the past two years required
• Experience performing screening and diagnostic mammograms required
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Local candidates must have a permanent residence more than 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to be eligible at the standard rate

• Candidate performs screening and diagnostic mammograms, with coverage across the main facility and nearby offsite locations
• Experience with stereotactic biopsies is preferred but not required
• Candidate must be comfortable working independently
• Schedule varies from week to week and requires flexibility
• Time keeping is managed through UKG/Kronos
• Parking costs may apply depending on work location; public transportation is an option at some locations
