American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Tech for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in Fargo, ND, requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a dedicated Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) unit
• Primary patient populations include cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic cases, with occasional general surgery
• Primary procedures include open heart surgeries, thoracic, vascular, and some robotic-assisted cases
• Charting performed in Epic EMR
• 10-hour day shifts with the expectation to stay late as needed to complete scheduled cases, which is considered an extension of the regular shift rather than callback
• Call required 1–2 shifts per week and every 4th or 5th weekend
• Floating to other OR suites may be required when the CV OR census is low
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Experience in a large hospital (250+ beds) at a Level 2 trauma facility or higher required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• North Dakota Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) Registry enrollment required one week prior to start date; proof of application must be submitted within 3 business days of offer acceptance
• License required if applicable
• Two professional references required for consideration: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor in the same specialty within the last 3 years
• All certifications must be active at time of consideration — no pending certifications accepted

Additional Information

• Perform surgical and operating room duties to assist the surgeon and care team in the safe and effective delivery of cardiovascular surgical care
• Candidates who have previously worked at any Sanford Health location must disclose this prior employment; a minimum gap of 6 months between the end date of prior employment and the submission date is required
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Candidates living between 60 and 80 miles of the facility may be considered but are subject to a reduced travel pay rate
• Scrubs are provided by the facility in ceil blue
• All clinicians are required to badge in and out at the facility
• An interview with the hiring manager is required prior to an offer being extended
