American Traveler is hiring a night shift CT Technologist requiring Level 1 trauma experience and Siemens equipment proficiency.

• Hospital-based Level 1 trauma center CT Scan department
• Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week assignment
• Requires weekend coverage
• Non-rotating shift
• Staff will be required to float among radiology clinics and divisions as needed
• Uses Epic for charting
• Operates CT scanner, power injector, laser printer, and patient monitoring devices
• May include on-call coverage and flexible shift coverage as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist required
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Siemens CT equipment experience required
• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
• Current Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license required (license required if applicable)
• ARRT registration or eligibility required, with CT certification to be completed within one year of employment start
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Cross-sectional anatomy coursework experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with patients under physical or emotional stress
• Analytical ability to apply knowledge of imaging processes, techniques, and cross-sectional anatomy
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions

Additional Information

• Operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images following departmental protocols, including patient preparation, positioning, immobilization, and shielding
• Explain exams to patients while maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct
• Perform venipuncture for contrast administration under radiologist direction, following hospital contrast policies
• Calibrate and verify equipment operation daily and report malfunctions as needed
• Complete Radiology Information System documentation and transfer images to PACS
• May oversee and instruct technology students in medical radiography, CT, or nuclear medicine
• Participate in departmental research, quality assurance, and quality improvement initiatives
• Transport and transfer patients according to departmental guidelines
• Attend staff meetings and in-services, maintaining CEUs per Massachusetts licensure and ARRT requirements
• Local candidates accepted; candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a reduced rate
