American Traveler is seeking an experienced Certified CVORT Surgical Technologist with active cardiac scrub experience for a Level I Trauma Center position at a large quaternary care hospital in Manhasset, NY.

Details

• Level I Trauma Center at a 750+ bed quaternary care facility in Manhasset, NY
• CVOR unit focused on cardiac surgical cases requiring current scrub experience
• Primary shift runs 6:00 AM – 7:30 PM, with possible alternatives including 5 days/week 11 AM–7 PM or 4 days/week

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of overall surgical tech experience, with at least 1 year of dedicated CVORT experience
• Current, active cardiac scrub experience required
• NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist credential required
• BLS certification from the AHA required
• License required if applicable — if NYS DOH license is not yet active, a screenshot or photo of the completed application must be provided
• Two professional references rated 'standard or above average' from a manager or above within the prior year in the current specialty

Additional Information

• Scrub into cardiovascular surgical cases requiring specialized cardiac instruments and sterile technique
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be considered as local candidates at a reduced rate
• Only AHA-issued BLS certifications are accepted
• If any certifications are expiring during the assignment, a renewal receipt or scheduled course dates must be provided
• Travelers who have previously worked at any facility within this health system may be subject to an eligibility review process prior to consideration
• Time and attendance is tracked using Kronos
